This summer, the Pollensa Team will be lacing up their boots and heading into the stunning Dales of the River Dove for an 8-mile circular walk – all in support of two incredible charities that are close to our hearts: Football vs Cancer and Little Miracles.
We’re aiming to raise at least £1,000, which will be split evenly between these two amazing organisations. Every donation – no matter how big or small – will help us to reach and, hopefully, exceed our target.
About the Challenge
The Dales of the River Dove walk is a scenic 8-mile route through the heart of the Dales, featuring rolling hill trails, grassy paths, and a few stiles to climb along the way. While we take in the breathtaking views, we’ll be walking with a purpose – knowing that each mile helps to raise funds for two causes doing life-changing work.
Here’s a bit more about the charities we’ve chosen to raise funds for.
Football vs Cancer
Football vs Cancer is a vibrant celebration of life and community, sparked by the memory of local footballer, Mick Belson. What started as a heartfelt tribute has blossomed into a powerful force for good, bringing together friends, family and stars from a range of sports to combat cancer.
Little Miracles
Based in Peterborough, Little Miracles supports families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions. They provide a non-judgemental environment where they use a holistic approach to support the needs of the whole family.
They specialise in providing advice, guidance, support, activities, training and safe places to any family that has a child with an additional needs from birth up to the age of 25.
Please donate now to support these charities with the much-needed funds they need.
